# How An Admin or A Teacher Can Respond To Student Leave Application?

## How does an admin or teacher respond to a student leave application?

Leave applications raised by parents are handled in the Vawsum app. Open the **Menu**, scroll to **Leave Application** under Tools, and use the **Pending** tab to approve or reject applications awaiting a decision. The **All** tab shows every approved and rejected leave. Once decided, the status appears in the parent's app under the leave section.

### Steps to approve or reject a leave application

1. Login to the [Vawsum app](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vawsum) using your credentials as an **admin** or a **teacher**.
2. Go to the menu (three parallel lines available on the top right corner of the screen).
3. Scroll the page down and click on **Leave Application** (available under **Tools**).
4. You will find two tabs: **PENDING** and **ALL**.
5. Check under the **Pending** tab if any leave application is awaiting approval.
6. **Reject** or **approve** the application as considered by the school or the teacher.
7. Click on the **ALL** tab to review the report for all rejected or approved leaves raised by parents.
8. Once the applied leave is rejected or approved, it starts reflecting in the parent's app login under the leave section, where the parent can view the status.

**Note:**
1. An admin has the privilege to approve or reject leaves by default. Teachers can deal with leaves raised by parents only if that privilege is set for the teacher.
2. To activate and set the privilege for a teacher, the school admin can contact the Vawsum support team.
