# How Admin Can Operate Admin Approval For Diary Entry?

## How does admin approval work for diary entries in Vawsum?

When admin approval is enabled, a diary entry posted by a teacher is held rather than published to the feed. The teacher creates it through **Make a Diary Entry** in the Vawsum app; the admin then sees an unapproved-feed notification on their landing page and taps **Approve** or **Reject**. Only approved entries appear as a feed.

### Steps for a teacher to post the diary entry

1. Login to the [Vawsum app](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vawsum) on your smartphone as a teacher.
2. Click on the **Make a Diary Entry** section at the top of your screen.
3. Make the diary entry and select **Post** at the topmost right-hand corner of your page.

The diary entry goes to the admin for approval; only then is it sent as a feed.

### Steps for an admin to approve or reject

1. Login as an admin using your credentials in the Vawsum app.
2. As soon as you log in, you will receive a notification on your landing page regarding the unapproved feed.
3. Click on the unapproved feed notification, then click **Approve** or **Reject** to either approve or reject the diary entry.
