# How to apply filters in Diary Entry?

## How do I apply filters in diary entry in Vawsum?

Diary entries are filtered from the Vawsum mobile app. Tap the **Filter** icon at the top-left of the screen, then narrow the entries by any of four categories — type, class, section or subject — and tap **Apply**.

### Steps to filter diary entries

1. Login to the Vawsum application on your smartphone.
2. Click on the **Filter icon** on the top-left corner of your screen.
3. You can now apply **Filter Entries** based on four categories: **Type**, **Class**, **Section** and **Subject**.
4. Simply select the desired filter category and click **Apply** to apply the filter.
